I needed a full reno on our new home &, because I wouldn't be in Florida for the bulk of the construction time & anticipated managing the reno from Texas, I was afraid of contracting for too much & being left hanging. From the first meeting, I knew that Sam wouldn't over promise and under deliver. It was obvious that he had a great memory and paid a lot of attention to details.
After the first meeting, we contracted JSM to build me a new walk in closet and pantry and to renovate my kitchen. There were specific deliverables that had to be completed at different points in time to coincide with my visits to Florida. I was in town for the first couple of weeks of the renovations. Sam wasn't on site daily, but our project manager, Ryan, was. Both were responsive to questions that I had & were able to problem solve quickly and effectively (and cost efficiently). Once the first part of the project was delivered in a timely manner, I contracted for additional work (master bathroom renovation, full-home painting, new water heater installation, etc.). I was able to trust them with the management of my project & leave town for weeks at a time. Whenever I was out of town, either Ryan or Sam would update me on the progress and/or challenges and present me with proposed solutions. Being out of town & the size of the reno should have made this one of the tougher ones that I've dealt with, but it was surprisingly smooth. Everything would have been delivered on time....had I not continued to have change orders up to and past the delivery date! I will definitely call on JSM again in the future & won't hesitate to recommend them.
