When painting my house how do I protect my surfaces so that paint does not get where it is not supposed to?
At Jose’s Painting we do not skip the small details. Protection and prep come first. We build clean paths with drop cloths and brown rosin paper and we tape seams so paper does not creep. Floors near ladders get an extra layer so ladder feet never touch finished flooring. Baseboards counters and fixtures are wrapped in plastic film and sealed with clean straight tape lines. Hardware and plates are removed and labeled so the finish looks intentional.
We control dust and drips. Surfaces are degreased rinsed and sanded so paint bonds and does not peel. We strain paint and keep lids closed to prevent skinning. We work from clean buckets and maintain a wet edge so you do not see lap marks. Brushes and rollers are checked often so no loose fibers end up on your trim. At the end of each day we re tape any loose edges and reset protection so the job stays neat.
Ladders get soft pads or ladder mitts. Ladder feet sit on protected paths. We use standoffs on gutters and trim to keep pressure off your home and to keep rungs away from fresh paint. No ladder leans on finished edges.
You get a clean site polite crews and daily communication. When we leave the room is ready to enjoy.
