Happy spring!
As the weather continues to get warmer we are going to see more rain, which means we need to be more careful on the roads so we don’t hydroplane. If you don’t know what that is, the short story is that it is when you're driving on a wet road and for a moment your car loses traction with the road because you are driving on water. Your car starts to drift and slide out of control which can cause a crash.
Here are three simple things that you can do to avoid Hyroplaning:
1. Make sure that your tires are in good condition and have plenty of traction left so the water on the roads are pushed away from your car.
2. Slow down in extreme weather conditions.
3. Turn OFF your cruise control! When your car slows down because it is hydroplaning, it thinks it needs to speed up and will cause your car to go more out of control.
