Just had the guys finish up with our pond and we couldn't be happier! The new look and sound of the pond are awesome! The guys did a fantastic job and cleaned up nicely! A-1 for sure! Thank you Chuck Kennedy.

My wife and I highly recommend Joel and his crew at Pondscapes to do your pond. We hired Joel to fulfill a dream my wife and I had for completing our yard with the serenity of a pond with a waterfall. The project was delayed due to fall rains but early in the spring between the raindrops our pond and waterfall was completed with all the beauty and serenity we could have ever imagined. Some of the reasons we feel Joel and his crew went above and beyond our expectations are the quality of the mechanics such as the pump and the careful consideration in the plants and stones used in the project. The crew was hard working and always cleaned up after themselves each day. We were so grateful for the kind consideration and artistic touches of Sandy who took the time to find the perfect placement for each stone and plant. Her heartfelt placement of a strong Oak to remind me of my dearly departed father who was a huge presents in my life was greatly appreciated. Our grandchildren have discovered the pond and have squealed as they float on rafts across the pond "Its just like being on vacation". Thank you Joel and Sandy and crew for all of your great work!

I had my pond and waterfalls rebuild 08/2024 by Joel L Hilles Pondscapes. They did an excellent job. The landscaping with new plants, shrubs , tree and grass completed the project. The cleanup after the rebuild was again excellent. I was impressed by the workmanship and sign up for a maintenance services. It is now 03/2025 and the pond has been open and cleaned, power washed. I am pleased with Joel L Hilles Pondscapes.

I contacted Joel and his team regarding a koi pond that was installed 15-20 years ago for our house we recently purchased. The pond was extremely outdated and the filtration system was very costly to operate. The pond was built using large river rock that would constantly fall over and was becoming more of a pain to care for. Joel's team really knocked it out of the park, they completely tore the pond down to the bare bones and gave it a makeover like i didn't think was possible. All new rock, pumps, and top of the line filtration and lighting. I went from daily maintenance to semi monthly with crystal clear water. I couldn't have asked for anything more and highly recommend Pondscapes to anyone even thinking about a new or rehab of an older water feature.

What can I say but we are so thrilled with our pond and landscaping. Joel and his team built our amazing pond and surroundings 7 years ago. Two years later we added a beautiful stone patio. Joel has a keen sense of bringing to life his client's vision. I have had Joel install lighting in a small, preexisting pond and have had him install landscape lighting over the past six months and couldn't be more happy with the work. Estimates were up front, transparent, and fair. Both the pond and landscaping lighting look great. Joel was also easy to get a hold of in case I had any questions. He made sure I understood how things would be installed and how to operate the lighting once it was in. I am overall very happy with the work and customer service I received. I would recommend Joel to anyone looking for high quality pond installations and lighting.

Joel and his team did a wonderful job with our waterfall and hill landscaping. The look and sound of it are amazing. It is super peaceful to sit outside and watch and listen. His crew showed up on time every day (which is uncommon for Pittsburgh contractors), took great care not to damage our lawn and they cleaned up every night before they left. They were very respectful to my wife and I. And if I needed to talk to Joel, he responded quickly. They worked with us to get the design we wanted. If there was one small glitch, it was that there was a mixup between the crew and the electrician. It was a bit of a hassle and some extra work for me to resolve. Ultimately it got resolved and everything is now great. Weve gotten tons of compliments from our neighbors. I Highly recommend Joel.

When we decided to explore having some type of water feature installed on our property the first person we contacted for input and ideas was Joel. After meeting with Joel and hearing his ideas we knew we did not need to reach out to anyone else. Joel was realistic and straightforward; I would say he under promised and over delivered for sure!! Joel and Sandy showed us sketches of a pond-less waterfall and stream that we thought looked amazing, well the outcome was ever better than we expected! It is not often you find a company and contractor that show up everyday on time, are respectful of your property, complete a project quicker than you thought, and make it look even more grand and exquisite than you ever imagined. I built a custom home 5 years ago and have used many contractors for different projects over the years, Joel is easily one of the best I have had the pleasure of using. Since the initial project Joel and his team have completed several boulder gardens, a flagstone patio, low-voltage lighting, and will return later in the spring to install another patio, stone stair, and an outdoor firepit. I would recommend Joel and team to anyone looking to add a true statement piece to their home.
