We quite often get called in for reception issues from poorly terminated connections (cables twisted together) or improper substitutes for splitting tv signals.
Shane from Jim’s Antennas Salisbury recently attended a customer’s house in Salisbury Heights with issues on all their tv outlets. Shane located the splitter inside the roof space and found a poorly connected substitute of a splitter to all their tv points.
A new digital 6-way splitter was installed with new compression connectors along with 3 new tv points and a replacement tv point being added, using RG6Quadshield cabling.
This made a significant difference to the antenna signal gain spread over the 6 tv points making it an evenly balanced system.
A new antenna or amplification of the tv signal was not required.
