Neil from Jim’s Antennas Woodville was recently contacted by his client to move their existing antenna to make room for some new solar panels to be fitted to the roof.
After an initial inspection of the ageing broken antenna, Neil recommended replacing the older style antenna with a new digital only antenna with a built-in LTE filter (reducing the 4/5G signal interference).
Neil used a new Tile Roof Mount which included a lead flashing kit to weatherproof the mount to the tiled roof.
The new digital antenna was installed away from the proposed location for the solar panels (meaning no shading from the antenna onto the solar panels) and connected to the tv system in the house.
Because of the sensitivity of the new antenna elements, his customer noticed a brighter, sharper picture than what was received with the older, ageing antenna.
