A customer in Hallett Cove was experiencing sluggish internet behaviour.
After speaking with their ISP and NBN Co. they called Shaun from Jim’s Antennas Hallett Cove for an inspection of the in-house cabling.
After surveying the roof space, Shaun found multiple Ivory cat3 cables spliced together in various locations (pic1).
This is the result of forty odd years of adding and changing phone outlets around the house. The old cable was disconnected since home phones are no longer required and new high-performance cat 6 cable installed to the internet router (pic2).
The result is that the customer now has their full NBN plan speed with no dropouts.
