Shane from Jim’s Antennas Salisbury was called out to one of his customers houses complaining of terrible reception to their 3 tv’s.
Shane started by hopping onto the roof to investigate the antenna then work down the antenna system. The antenna was old, outdated with no LTE filtering but Shane also noticed that the cabling to the antenna had been chewed by parrots all the way to the copper wire. This has caused the majority of their reception issues especially when it rains.
Shane installed a new Digital antenna with LTE filtering to the existing mount (unable to avoid the solar panel area with no spare space on the roof), new RG6Quadshield cabling and protected the cabling with flexible conduit secured to the antenna mast.
Unfortunately, the parrots have been fed daily from surrounding neighbours and have used his roof to perch on and help themselves to the antenna cable.
