Jim Dahlberg

Jim has been our property manager for two years and we are very pleased with his work. He goes above and beyond what is needed to keep our guests happy in our Airbnb in Kona. He has the "Aloha" spirit and can really work out tricky situations, that is his gift. Recently, he even helped us purchase a car which was very involved and he just made it happen from meeting the seller, asking the right questions, handling the financial transaction and finding a parking spot until we arrive on island. He even helped the seller get to the airport because he is full of kindness. He has many talents and I'm happy to recommend him to anyone needing his services.

I contacted Jim in October of 2022 about a rental he had listed. At the time, my wife and I were still on the mainland preparing for our move and trying to navigate the very difficult task of securing housing. Even over the phone, Jim's spirit of Aloha shone through! The rental he had wasn't going to work for us, but our conversation just stuck with me, like talking to an old, trusted friend, so I called him back. It can sometimes be difficult to trust people in our modern day, but my gut told me Jim was authentic and trustworthy. Glad I followed my gut! Jim helped us every step of the way in purchasing our home. In very short order (we visited for a few days about a month before our move), he helped find potential properties, set up viewings, and submitted an offer on the one we wanted. He knows how everything works here, which is different than where we came from, and helped us understand all the nuances to buying in Hawaii. He is very knowledgeable about the entire Big Island, knows lot's of people (who all have nothing but kind words to say about him), and did so much more for us than I ever would have expected. He helped us find a vehicle and temporary housing while waiting for our house to close, and even helped us after the purchase with some repairs the house needed. And he continues to be available for pretty much anything! Jim is the real deal. You can tell that he just really enjoys helping people. I feel very fortunate that I made that phone call and at this point, I consider him a friend. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone looking to move to the Big Island!
