A guy from this rental service was very rude to us today. All because we were sitting on the beach with a small dog (6 kg). We said we didn't know it was forbidden because there was no sign that didn't allow dogs on the beach (which is true!), and we had seen dogs on this beach before. He said, "What? We need to put signs everywhere? I'm sick of people like you. Use Google Maps. You're arrogant. Go to your country. I will call the police." And so on.
Wow, people. Why can't you just politely explain?
Ah, yes, "you're sick of people like us."
That was an absolutely unprovoked aggression towards us. He came very close to us, literally in a couple of centimeters, while we were calmly sitting on the ground, and it looked very threatening.
It happened around 8:00 am, almost no people yet on the beach, no kids (btw, all kids love to play with our dog!). Our dog is always well-behaved and was sitting next to us. We even planned to leave the beach in 30 minutes because our working day starts at 9:00 am (we work remotely). We could even explain this... but no one wanted to listen to us.
We always obey the rules if they are clearly stated. After all, tourists are your customers. And it is poor customer experience when I need to guess what is allowed and what's not.
P.S. This rental service owns beach couches. We slightly moved two of them when we came to sit next to the water. We truly believe that the real reason for offending us was because we moved them and didn't plan to rent them. It's all about the money in the end. The guy even aggressively moved them back almost hitting us in the backs.
P.S.2. "Go to your country," he said. Our country is invaded by ruzzia, we can't go back there. But thanks for reminding us about that, as well as that we're only guests here. We "didn't" know that (sarcasm).
