The VA just launched a program that could save thousands of veterans from foreclosure.
It's called the Partial Claim Program. Rolled out Monday. Here's how it works: Veterans get a three month trial payment plan. During that time, the mortgage servicer assesses their ability to keep paying. If they complete the trial, the servicer pays off the overdue amount. The VA reimburses the servicer. The veteran repays the VA later when they sell, refinance, or pay off the home. Not when they're already struggling.
If you're a veteran homeowner facing hardship, there are other options too. VA loan modifications, repayment plans, disaster programs. You have more paths than you think.
I know the VA loan landscape inside and out. If you or someone you know is a veteran who needs guidance on home financing or keeping their home, I can walk you through every option available.
