Q: Is it worth it to stage my home for sale?
A: An emphatic “YES!” The cost to stage a home in the Philadelphia region is typically somewhere between $2500 and $7000 depending on the size of the home and how many rooms need to be staged. It is my experience that sellers get that money back in a higher sale price. My goal is to maximize my client’s investment so I recommend professional staging in the main living areas of vacant homes in order to give the home a warm, modern appearance and help buyers envision living there. There are statistics that on average homes that are staged sell for more. My experience selling homes supports that. Whether you like it or not, buying a home is an emotional decision and staging helps tap into that emotion.
