Q: Is it worth it to stage my home to sell?
A: An emphatic “YES!” The cost to stage a home in Philadelphia is typically somewhere between $2500 and $7000 depending on the size of the home and how many rooms need to be staged. It's my opinion that you will recoup that cost and more in the sale of your property. My goal is to maximize my client’s investment so if the house is vacant I typically recommend professional staging in the main living areas in order to give the home a warm, modern appearance and help buyers envision living there. There are statistics that on average homes that are staged sell for more. My experience selling homes supports that. Whether you like it or not, buying a home is an emotional decision and staging helps tap into that emotion and I believe, makes them willing to pay more.
