Alex (the owner, I believe) was very helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Well kept and nice store. My first time getting glasses. Alex made it very easy Do yourself a favor if you need glasses. Go to Jam Optical. I highly recommend him.

Alex is extremely professional and very passionate about his work. The physical location is designed lovely - as well as the website, which is easy to navigate. There are diverse services which contribute to a seamless order to receiving process. Parking is not a hassle and there’s food right on the same strip if you have to wait a little bit. The optical shop I used for decades was sold, and I was dissatisfied with the new approach to service and pricing. I noticed Jam Optical in my neighborhood and checked it out. I am thrilled that I did. Owner Alex is personable, very skilled, an excellent communicator, and a good listener. My glasses were delivered before promised, for a good price. Very happy this business is in Hyde Park and hope the community supports it.

Im so grateful that I was able to fill my prescription this year at JAM Optical.... Let me tell you a little about my frustration finding an optical that accept my insurance.... <close to zero> or <the wait time to get an appointment was ridiculous>. After countless phone calls, one of the opticals says "we accept Masshealth" BUT only for the eye exam not for glasses; once more back to square one.... She mention few optical but same out coming so frustrating but she also mention this optical JAM optical up the street from them. What a blessing!!! I call, the person in the other side was pleasant, he answer all the questions that I had. Finally I went to he's optical and I found the BEST so far in my years wearing glasses (more than 10yrs) the BEST frames collection approve by MassHealth insurance. Men's, women's and kids. No appointment need it... Alex took time to help me decide which was my best options, he was so patient with me Im grateful for that. Alex knows he's business and he cares about everyone needs.... taking time to explain things that is out there for us but no one before took the time or care to explain. Im more than thankful to find this optical so close to home. I can even take the MBTA bus 24 right at the corner. Street parking is ok. Alex is a knowledgeable, pleasant and gives an awesome customer service. 5🌟 PS Besides Masshealth frames, He has a great selection of frames and affordable prices!!!!! Thanks Alex

We took our son to Alex for his first pair of glasses a couple of weeks ago. It was refreshing to meet a small business owner like Alex who helped our son pick out the right frames and gave us the individualized attention you rarely see anymore in retail. The expansive variety of frames he had in stock was truly impressive. And the cherry on top was that Alex was running a promotion on children's glasses, 2 for $99! There were no hidden fees, just straight up $99 for frames and the lenses. He had the first pair ready for our son in about an hour. We picked up his second pair 4 days later. Our son loves his new look and we do too! We will most definitely go back to Alex for all our eye wear needs.
