I wandered into the shop my first morning in Chiang Mai and met James. Yes the shop keep goes by James. I wasn’t looking for a suit, I was looking to copy another outerwear jacket. But I kept seeing this fabric while talking with James. It was this linen wool/linen/silk blend. It had this amazing texture that I normally don’t see in suits. James was like “That fabric looks great as a suit”and pointed to one of his mannequins and a jacket from another client that used the same fabric. The problem was, I’ve had bespoke suits before. To be honest most Thailand tailors usually can’t fulfill all my requests. Tailor techniques that usually require skilled and well versed tailors. I was convinced since the shop was a bit campy with a name like “James Bond Tailor” wouldn’t be able to build a suit how I like it. James politely asked what I required. So I gave him my list. - 3 roll 2 - Roped shoulders - A curved Barchetta breast pocket - Gauntlet cuffs - Pic stitching - Dinner button - 5 button sleeve - Accent colors on the button holes - A big accent button on the end of the sleeve - Half canvased (I only had 4 days in town, some tailors I met can’t do half canvased in this amount of time) James kindly pointed out most of the features I asked for were on the mannequins outside or on existing client clothes on the rack waiting to be picked up. He assured me that there would be no issues to do a half canvased construction in that amount of time. So I pulled the trigger literally, please check the photos. James created the green suit in the photos and I was blown away. He delivered on everything I wanted. It came out better than expected. And he did it in less than 3 days! I was so happy I immediately ordered another one. I always wanted to try the new trend of an oversized lapel. I sent him photos of what I was thinking and he said “No Problem” In less than 48 hours he created my: wide detached lapel, double breasted, charcoal pinstripe suit pictured below. Don’t let the name fool you, this is a full service tailor shop that can accommodate any request. And the best part… THEY LET YOU POSE WITH A GUN!

I had a great experience ordering two tailored suits and several tailored shirts from James. He has a great eye for detail and was extremely accommodating to requests for minor changes. He was flexible with the time for fitting (which we changed several times) and flexible with payment methods he would accept. Now that he has my measurements, I look forward to ordering more shirts from abroad when the time comes.

We took our son for a suit here for the second time - Both times having excellent experiences. The first time JBT was recommended to us by a friend. He needed a suit quickly for an MUN conference, having outgrown his previous suit. They accommodated our need for a quick suit with a well-crafted, beautiful suit. He received a best-dressed award at the conference. We returned this second time to give him a suit as a high school graduation gift. Again, what a wonderful experience and gorgeous three-piece suit! Very happy with the professional help I got at James bond Tailor. I was able to get my suit only two days after my initial fitting which was perfect for me. The end result was also very good and for a nice price. Would definitely recommend!

Got a black suit tailored by James earlier last month in ChiangMai. The suit is comfortable, it’s well tailored & James was able to deliver what I had pictured in mind 👍🏼 The work consists of a black two button jacket with a sleek, modern cut which features a notched lapel with flap pockets & a neatly pressed finish with a pair of black pants. The detail I like best is the rich burgundy inner lining with a subtle floral pattern which James & his assistant(?) Gopal expertly recommended. He also very generously gifted pocket squares & a tie that complement the suit James personally is warm, attentive & efficient. He took accurate measurements & offered helpful suggestions. The workmanship was impeccable & he managed to complete & deliver the suit punctually within just 5 days 🙂

Hi James, I think the advice was fair and good. I initially ordered three shirts, picked them up in person – perfect in both workmanship and fit – thank you so much! Then I ordered five more and had them sent to my hotel in Khao Lak. The fabrics were as agreed, the cut identical, and again very good. However, on all five shirts, some threads weren't sewn very well and needed some attention from us. Nevertheless, thank you for the service, and perhaps I'll contact you again from Germany. I met James on previous trips to Thailand and on this trip I finally ordered some suits from him and am I happy I did. The suits look great and James has the best customer service. We did a few fittings to make sure the suits were absolutely perfect (photos are from the second of 3 or 4 fittings). Throughout the whole process James and Sunny would offer their input to help me decide on style and length of the suit to be perfect for my size and body type. I ended up buying 2 suits and 10 custom fitted shirts. I will absolutely buy from James Bond Tailor again the next time I am in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
