I used this shop to rebuild my transmission in my 2009 Chevy 2500, a 6l90 that I got quotes for ranging from $6,000 to $8,500. Complete insanity! J&M came in at a price I couldn’t refuse. I took a shot and my truck runs and shifts like a new truck!! They kept me updated with the build and reprogramming of my TCM. Even put new u-joints in my driveshaft, all staying in budget!! I would 100% use them again..

Kind, thoughtful, and willing to go out of their way to help you in your time of need. I was visiting Tyler from Mississippi when the tailpipe started falling from my car. This all happened on Memorial Day. I called two places no one answered. Then I called J&M and Mike said bring it in and let's see what we can do for you. My tailpipe was being held up with some type of wire. Jerry and Mike had to ride to SEVERAL parts stores in order to find just what my car needed. Mike fixed it and Jerry showed me the old parts and explained what had happened. While I was waiting, Shannon and I had such wonderful conversations! We have so many things in common. J&M Automotive have very fair pricing! They work with you and give you their very best. That's all we as customers can ask for. I recommend them a 10 out of 10 to anyone for Automotive repair needs. I can not say enough about this shop, they are wonderful people. My alternator went out on the Friday afternoon before Memorial Day Weekend, had the car towed in at 430 that night, they called me back Saturday around 11am confirmed the problem quoted me a price and said they would have it done same day. They under estimated the job, they worked all day making sure I got my car back as promised, same day. They also honored the price quoted as well as took of the 3% credit card fee ( they had forgotten to tell me ) These are good honest keep to their word and honor every word they say. Highly recommend, I will use them again in the future if needed...100%

Great service. They opened a second shop at 800 N Broadway. We were referred there because he was able to get us in sooner. Repairs were done quickly, good pricing, very friendly owner. I highly recommend this transmission shop.

Me and my husband and newborn baby was on our way to Florida when all of a sudden our car started overheating. I Immediately started panicking because we had already driven from Kansas City Kansas. So we called around several shops but no body was able to get us in for a few weeks. And even though the title says transmissions we decided to give them a call. We had our vehicle towed in and within a couple of hours they told us what was going on with our vehicle. They was kind enough to explain and show us what had happened. Buy it wasn't good news because we needed a new engine. They was able to find one within our budget and after speaking with my husband we decided to have them do the work. They was even kind enough to give us a ride to a hotel. Even though they was very busy they pushed aside a few jobs to make sure we got back on the road safely. We only had to spend a few days in the hotel and we was back on the road to finish our trip. I definitely would recommend J&M Transmission to anyone needing honest and quality work done on their vehicle.

I had a very disappointing experience with J&M Transmission. After leaving my truck there for repairs, I discovered that my welding leads, chop saw, and other tools were stolen from inside my vehicle. When I confronted the shop about the theft, they were unhelpful and refused to take responsibility or make things right. Instead, they told me I would need to resolve the issue through small claims court. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone, and it seems they might not even have proper insurance coverage for such incidents.

I can’t say enough about this place. They did an excellent job of fixing my vehicle and actually showed me what was going on and why. If you want an honest mechanic that doesn’t give you surprise hidden costs this is definitely the place. Blade (my service dog) and I, wholeheartedly thank you.

Very courteous and professional staff. Technicians are extremely thorough and detailed oriented. Price was on point. I highly recommend.

Cars transmission was lagging between gears so got a transmission flush and it's back moving great again

Great work definitely recommend this place. I went to the new location directly across from the municipal Mike knocked it out in few hours
