JOB UPDATE – Pressure Regulator Installation
Location: Chino Hills, CA
Service: 6” Water Main Pressure Reduction
Contractor: J Cor General Contractor Plumbing Electrical
We are currently in the process of adding a new pressure regulator to the existing 6-inch domestic water main at the job site in Chino Hills. The existing line has been experiencing excessively high pressure readings, regularly exceeding 100 PSI.
To correct this, our team is installing a properly sized, code-compliant pressure-reducing valve (PRV) to bring the system down to a safe and manageable operating range (target: 65–75 PSI). The installation includes:
Isolating and draining the main line
Cutting and prepping the 6” line for PRV integration
Installing the new pressure regulator with any required isolation valves
Pressure testing and restoring water service once complete
This adjustment will significantly reduce long-term strain on the plumbing system, preventing future failures and extending the life of downstream fixtures.
We will continue to coordinate closely with all parties to minimize service interruptions during the process. The area will be fully restored upon completion of the work.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional documentation.
