Today I want to show you something most people have never seen how we encapsulate a GDI fuel injector before it goes on the tester. And why without this step and the right equipment you simply cannot test these injectors correctly.
Here's what a lot of people don't realize. GDI fuel injectors operate at extreme pressures inside the engine. Pressures that a standard generic injector tester was never designed to handle. If you try to test a GDI injector on the wrong equipment you are not getting accurate results. Period.
And inaccurate results mean inaccurate data. Inaccurate data means a bad tune. A bad tune means power left on the table or worse, engine damage from cylinders that aren't getting what they need. The equipment is not optional. It is an absolute must.
So here is what we do. First we encapsulate the injector. This means properly sealing and securing it so it can withstand and be tested at the extreme pressures GDI injectors actually operate at. Once it's encapsulated correctly we install it on our specialized tester. And now we can test it at the right pressure the pressure it actually sees inside your engine and get results that are completely accurate and meaningful.
This is the difference between doing it right and doing it wrong. The right equipment. The right process. The right results. Every single time.
If you've got GDI injectors that need to be tested the right way give us a call.
