In our last post we showed you how we encapsulate a GDI fuel injector. Now it is on the tester. And before we start the process I want to walk you through exactly what you are looking at and why every single detail here matters.
Getting a GDI injector onto a high pressure tester is not as simple as just plugging it in. Everything has to be tight. Everything has to be properly connected. Because when you are running at the extreme pressures GDI injectors operate at, there is zero room for error.
And this is exactly where cutting corners gets dangerous and inaccurate. A loose connection at high pressure doesn't just give you bad results, it compromises the entire test. The data you get back is only as good as the setup that produced it. And if the setup is wrong, everything downstream is wrong."
So right here, injector encapsulated, mounted correctly, every connection checked and tight, we are ready to begin. This is the right equipment. This is the right process. And this is what makes the difference between results you can trust and results that are just numbers on a page.
At Injector Experts we have the right equipment to test every GDI injector at the right pressure, correctly set up, correctly connected, and producing results that are 100% accurate. That is our standard for every single injector that comes through this shop.
