Port and GDI are completely different processes.
STANDARD PORT INJECTORS:
3-step ultrasonic cleaning
High pressure backflush
Flow testing at 43 PSI
New parts installed
Removes varnish, carbon, fuel deposits.
GDI (DIRECT INJECTION):
Same ultrasonic cleaning
Same backflush
Testing at 200-350 bar (up to 5,000 PSI)
Specialized high-pressure equipment
Why different?
Port: 43 PSI operating pressure
GDI: 5,000 PSI operating pressure
100x difference. Need different equipment to test properly.
Both get dirty. Both need professional cleaning.
