What's wrong with this?
Customer brought injectors in for routine cleaning.
I put this one under magnification and found it.
The pintle is scored. Microscopic grooves from debris that got past the filter.
It'll never seal properly again. Ever.
Cleaning won't fix this. The damage is permanent.
Here's what would've happened: They pay for cleaning. Install them. Car runs "fine" for a week.
Then cylinder starts misfiring. Back to diagnosis. More money. More time.
We caught it during inspection. Saved them from wasting money on a service that wouldn't solve the problem.
Sadly, sometimes not every problem has a cleaning solution.
