Hi, I’m Keith Brewer from Injector Experts, and today I want to clear up some myths about GDI fuel injectors.
You cannot test GDI injectors correctly without the proper equipment. The biggest mistake we see is testing them at the wrong pressure, which gives false readings.
Some GDI injectors operate up to 300 bar, but many places are testing them at 43 to 70 PSI. That’s not even close to real operating conditions.
Pressure isn’t the only factor. Voltage control is just as important. Without the correct voltage and pressure, the results don’t reflect how the injector works in the engine.
That’s why every injector we service comes back with a full printed report, clearly showing whether it meets spec or not, with your name on it. Real testing means real answers.
