Dr Katie Sum is an extremely kind and compassionate person. My beloved Wynter, a 7 year old Siamese cat, was in congestive heart failure, it happened so fast, we didn’t even know she was so sick. Wynter spent 16 hours in emergency to get her breathing stable enough to come home, we got her home and we hoped for any improvement but unfortunately her condition continued to deteriorate, my wife and I could no longer watch our baby suffer so we contacted Dr Katie, I felt immediately at ease talking to her, she was extremely kind, understanding and accommodating. She came to our home and examined Wynter, but as we expected her condition had deteriorated very quickly. Dr. Katie allowed us to spend as much time as we needed to say goodbye, and when my little girl was finally at rest, Dr Katie was just as kind, compassionate and respectful in taking care of her aftercare. Thank you Dr Katie for your kindness to me and my wife.

Dr Katie Sum is so compassionate, caring and very professional. We needed in home service for our beloved Charlie as his time had come and we could not transport him to our regular vet. Dr Katie Sum rearranged her schedule to accommodate us as soon as possible as she knew how important it was that Charlie have care. Making the decision to help our Charlie cross over was one of the most difficult decisions to make. Dr Katie Sum shed light on a very dark and sad time. Having Charlie pass in the comfort of his home surrounded with love and in Dr Katie's care, ensuring he was in no pain and not suffering, was the right thing to do. Dr. Katie Sum is an amazing, exceptional person. We just love her and highly recommend her. If we could give more than five stars we would. Five stars times two!!!

It was too soon losing my fur baby Melody from kidney failure. I was a mess and didn't know what would make this less painful for her, and the thought of letting her go in a cold room where she was unfamiliar made me cry even more. My neighbor mentioned Dr. Katie Sum because she helped with their dog. When I tell you this woman was a blessing wearing a stethoscope, I mean she was everything that made this heartbreaking experience a little more bearable. Dr. Katie treated Melody with such compassion and gentleness, and she gave me the space to say goodbye at home where Melody felt safe and loved. I’ll forever be grateful for the kindness, patience, and professionalism she showed us both. It meant the world to me.

Dr. Katie Sums is the most kind hearted vet I have ever met. She came when my 21yr old cat suddenly got sick with age and the day we decided to not let her suffer she did not rush the procedure, she let us determine the timing, say our goodbyes slowly and was very respectful to our Jaz and us. She had followed up to show comfort. We would never be able to do this again without her! Thank Katie for being such a blessing in our darkest hour.

When my 11 and a half year old Saint Bernard Shelby was near the end, it was Dr Sum who agreed to come see my sweet girl at our house. The minute she walked in, both my Shelby and I knew she was a good human. Her knowledge, compassion and ability to connect with both animals and their owners are what makes her a fantastic Veterinarian! 4 months later when it came time to help my Shelby cross the rainbow bridge, thanks to Dr Sum we were able to do it in the comfort of our home where Shelby was surrounded by the endless love of her family. I am grateful for your kindness, Doc. When the time comes that we feel we are ready to welcome one(or 2 ☺️) pups to our family, I can't wait to have you take care of them!!! Jen Hirons

Dr. Sum helped my family and I say goodbye to our sweet girl Jazzy. She explained everything and was extremely sweet and gentle towards Jazzy. She was very patient in giving us time. I highly recommend Dr. Sum to everyone I know. You can tell she truly cares about what she does

My daughter found Dr. Katie on-line. She was so gentle with Jasmine, our +16yr old cat. She took her time to explain everything, was caring and gave us time to say our good byes. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Katie came to our home yesterday to examine our almost 14 yr old collie mix, Simba. She gave Simba a very thorough examination and he was totally calm unlike during a clinic visit. Also he did not have to struggle to get in or out of the car. We were so grateful for her kind care and have already recommended her to two families on our doggy walk this morning.

Dr. Katie is amazing. She is very caring and takes her time with your animal. She is thorough and professional. She gets right down on the floor with your pet and not only pets your animal but talks to them.

Dr. Sum came to our home for end of life care for our family cat. She was unbelievably kind and compassionate. She was gentle, took the time to learn about our cat, the life she lived and how much she meant to us. Her reassurance and support for all of us was very much appreciated. She supported us and our cat through this difficult time to ensure she was as comfortable and dignified as possible in her last moments. I could not recommend her enough.
