There was a wide selection of stain and paint color options to choose from. The entire project was completed in approximately eight hours, transforming my kitchen and bathroom from a dated 1985 style to a modern look. I discovered Alex through Google Search while searching for someone to do a cabinet refacing in my kitchen. Our kitchen was over 40 years old and had seen only minor renovations over the years. We wanted a makeover rather than a lengthy 3-month process that would involve tearing everything down to the studs. We were thrilled to learn that Ideal Home Improvement could reface our kitchen in just 2 to 5 days. In less than a week, we had a completely transformed kitchen, and we were highly impressed by the quality of service Alex provided from start to finish. My family highly recommends him!

Alex is amazing. He has done two kitchen projects for us, and we could not be happier with the result. Because of his attention to detail, excellent craftmanship and willingness to work with our ideas, we managed to update our existing kitchen without changing the footprint yet have it feel like a full gut renovation. First, we wanted to keep our existing cabinet boxes because we had updated the countertop and backsplash, but we wanted to extend our island, add in a built in microwave and update the doors to a more modern style. We wanted to keep the existing color as well. Alex was able to find perfectly matching doors, build beautiful new wooden drawer boxes and reconfigure our existing island with no waste except for the old doors which he removed. Before and after pictures are included. Next, we wanted to reconfigure our laundry closet (also in the kitchen) to be less of an eyesore and more of an extension of the kitchen. We wanted the washer/dryer hidden behind pocket doors which was a challenging project. Working with another (also wonderful) contractor who did the demo, prep, drywall, electric and tile, Alex created beautiful tall cabinets to match the rest of the kitchen AND designed and executed a mechanism to hide the washer and dryer. The result has transformed the versatility of that space. Finally, Alex also redoored my mother's kitchen without changing her existing footprint and the result there was also transformative at a fraction of the cost and disruption of a new kitchen. Alex is a cabinet maker and also refaces and redoors, so he was able to incorporate some custom boxes as well as utilize existing cabinets, exactly what we wanted to do. He has access to a door panel fabricator who has a wide variety of door styles, colors and finishes so matching was a breeze. We had looked at several refacing companies before finding Alex and every other one told us that what we wanted could not be done. Alex did it beautifully.

Amazing work! Alex gave us the kitchen we always wanted. Last year we looked into a new kitchen to replace our outdated cabinets and were shocked by the cost. We realized that the hardware was good but doors were scratched and stained. Alex refaced our cabinet doors, replaced our drawers and lazy susans, built a custom pantry and gave us two floating shelves, all for a fraction of the cost of replacing. Alex is a master craftsman. He gave us a schedule and estimate and kept both as planned. Now our challenge is filling up all the new space created. Alex did a tremendous job. He refaced and added cabinets to a large kitchen. He raised the cabinets to the ceiling increasing our storage by about 50%. He also built a cabinet and microwave shelf that blended in awesome. He added extra draws to our island where we never imagined it could be done. Do not hesitate to hire Alex. Alex was professional from the beginning of the process. Explained in detail different options and shared his expertise. We were looking to update the cabinet style and give the island a refresh, with Alex we did that.
