Alex is amazing. He has done two kitchen projects for us, and we could not be happier with the result. Because of his attention to detail, excellent craftmanship and willingness to work with our ideas, we managed to update our existing kitchen without changing the footprint yet have it feel like a full gut renovation. First, we wanted to keep our existing cabinet boxes because we had updated the countertop and backsplash, but we wanted to extend our island, add in a built in microwave and update the doors to a more modern style. We wanted to keep the existing color as well. Alex was able to find perfectly matching doors, build beautiful new wooden drawer boxes and reconfigure our existing island with no waste except for the old doors which he removed. Before and after pictures are included. Next, we wanted to reconfigure our laundry closet (also in the kitchen) to be less of an eyesore and more of an extension of the kitchen. We wanted the washer/dryer hidden behind pocket doors which was a challenging project. Working with another (also wonderful) contractor who did the demo, prep, drywall, electric and tile, Alex created beautiful tall cabinets to match the rest of the kitchen AND designed and executed a mechanism to hide the washer and dryer. The result has transformed the versatility of that space. Finally, Alex also redoored my mother's kitchen without changing her existing footprint and the result there was also transformative at a fraction of the cost and disruption of a new kitchen. Alex is a cabinet maker and also refaces and redoors, so he was able to incorporate some custom boxes as well as utilize existing cabinets, exactly what we wanted to do. He has access to a door panel fabricator who has a wide variety of door styles, colors and finishes so matching was a breeze. We had looked at several refacing companies before finding Alex and every other one told us that what we wanted could not be done. Alex did it beautifully.

I typically don’t write reviews, but in this case, I felt compelled to. Alex was the consummate professional to work with it. His response to any questions prior to the install and leading up to it was immediate at all times. He offered helpful suggestions and guidance throughout the process. Alex is not someone that just refaces cabinets but is like an old world craftsman who pays a tremendous amount of attention to detail. He was able to turn cabinet space into large useful drawers. My wife and I are very particular when it comes to our home and we were very pleased with our new kitchen makeover. As part of our kitchen makeover, he built a custom pantry for a small nook off our kitchen that looks like it was built as part of the house. He also built a custom vanity in our bathroom. The installation process went without a hitch and everything was completed within 3 days and exactly as scheduled. I strongly recommend his services to anybody.

I am thrilled with the refacing of my kitchen cabinets. It looks even better than I thought it would. The quality of the new doors and drawer faces is first rate. The match of the custom color on the lower cabinets is perfect! I love the the pullout shelves in the cabinets. Alex exceeded my expectations too. A perfect professional from start to finish. Answered all my questions directly and covered every issue thoroughly in advance. Even better he followed through on every thing just as promised and on schedule. Only three days to transform my kitchen. If I’d know it was going to be so quick and easy I wouldn’t have waited.

We have been using Ideal Home Improvement since 2016. Back in 2016, we had our kitchen cabinets refaced as well as our 1/2 bath next to the kitchen. Alex did an amazing job refacing our cabinets. He also replaced the cabinet over the refrigerator so we could get a bigger refrigerator. He altered our cabinet under the sink so that we could replace our old sink with a farmhouse sink. The entire process was easy. Alex was very professional and responsive. He also was very neat, cleaning up after himself each day. As of today, our cabinets still look as good as when we had them done back in 2016. We were so thrilled by his work that in 2023 when we decided to update our primary bathroom and shared bathroom upstairs, we reached out to Alex again to have our cabinets refaced. He did an amazing job refacing the cabinets. Alex was very professional and responsive and kept the work area clean and neat. The cabinets look absolutely beautiful. We love how they transformed the bathrooms. Just recently we had some water damage to two cabinet doors and again I reached out to Alex to get two replacement doors. He ordered the two doors for us and when they were ready he installed them. The replacement doors look great. You would never know we had two cabinet doors replaced. Alex’s work is top notch, which is why we continually reach out to him when we have a cabinet refacing project.

Alex did a fabulous job with my kitchen cabinets, even did a cabinet with a glass door and solid door to let me pick which I liked best. He was prompt and very professional. I highly recommend him.

Wow ! What a difference Alex with Ideal Home Improvements can make in such little time !! Communication with Alex was always easy and he would respond in a timely manner. He showed up on time when he said he would - he was even a few minutes early ! His attention to detail was very impressive. I was picky about the crown moulding and Alex sent plenty of options based on what I was explaining to him. Our kitchen was a nightmare for a couple of years … we are SO happy now that we have a brand new looking kitchen & bathroom vanity. Installation & clean up was a breeze, you wouldn’t even know work had gone on in your home. Alex even Installed a lazy susan and trash pull outs for us, that was a big game changer for our kitchen storage. Definitely give them a try if you are thinking about resurfacing or buying new cabinets.
