URGENT! Microsoft released 97 security patches that addressed critical vulnerabilities, including a flaw actively exploited in ransomware attacks. Forty-five of these issues were remote code execution flaws, and Microsoft also patched additional problems such as DHCP Server Service, Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol, and others. Additionally, threat actors have been exploiting a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2022-21894) by using the BlackLotus UEFI bootkit to bypass the Secure Boot feature. The US CISA has already added this Windows zero-day to its catalog. It is wise for all organizations, large or small, to stay updated with the latest security patches to reduce the attack risk.
