Hunter Tree Care

We have had Hunter Lilly do a few tree jobs for us in the last few years. Two of them were small jobs and ther was a very large job that we had him do involving several of his crew. Recently we had Hunter do a very small pruning job. Hunter came at 7AM in the morning with a smile on his face and carefully pruned what we had asked him to do. I cannot recommend him enough. He is extremely hard working and honest. He is the go to guy for any tree work be it large or small Dave and Phyllis Carrboro

Exceptionally professional work and great customer service completed very safely! I contacted Hunter Tree Care after a recommendation by someone on next door app which am also a member of. I had a chat with Tom after which he came to view and quote me for the job. We agreed and when I was ready I contacted him and he came over with his fantastic team of very polite and professional lads with a future in their trade. I must admit that my tree was not the easiest due to a lot of nails that the previous home owners had piled into it and that caused some delays as the nails damaged the tools they use for cutting the trees. However even with that the guys did an excellent job and would definitely recommend hunter tree care to anyone looking for a professional job doing at a very reasonable price. No rip-off at all and no compromise on quality of service.

I would 100000000% recommend this company for tree removal. Hunter is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We had quotes around the area that would cripple us and hunter was more than accommodating giving us an amazing price. They were also fast! We had a tree that was rotted out due to termites and they got us on the schedule at record time to remove the tree from the property plus the two trees besides it. I couldn’t believe how fast they got those trees down.

Hunter is an absolute hero! We had a huge oak tree suddenly come down, bringing 5 other trees down also and posing a danger to our house. He was right there to help out. Hunter's prices were reasonable, and he and his crew were very good and very skilled. He really bent over backwards to do a good job and gave us great advice. Highly recommend!

In Sept/October of 24 we had a catastrophic hurricane come through our area and destroy land, property and lives. We have been a professional company for over 20 years in the FEMA/Disaster Recovery business (Cope’s Disaster and Tree Service) if you have any questions about this post look up our website and you can see we have an honest, professional, small-business with an excellent reputation. Fast forward to meeting Hunter Tree Care. There were many contractors from different areas that came in to help us during this horrible storm and for that we have been grateful. However, a few days into working this storm my husband received a call from Hunter Tree Care. He had some logs that he was needing moved and did not have the capability of moving them. Being in the storm business my husband had a loader truck and told him he would help. The two agreed on a price and our company completed the work for Hunter. He paid our driver in cash, however, when the driver returned it was not the amount that was agreed upon, even though we had done the work we had said we would do. My husband immediately called him and he didn’t answer for a few hours and then responded with a text and said he had made a mistake and had paid the wrong amount. However, he assured us he would get us the money. That was in December/January of 24 and 25, we’ve still not received money. The amount he owes is $1,020.00. The last reply from him was in January telling us he was out of the county in China but would have someone send a check ASAP. As you guessed we’re still waiting on that check This post may/may not sway your decision on hiring Hunter Tree Care, but just know he came into a very vulnerable situation for the people in Western North Carolina, done work had work done for him and he left us without paying his bills. We’ve reached out and tried to work with him about getting our money, but unfortunately I guess this is where it will be left. The attached pictures are screenshots from where we asked for money and he said he would send them however we never received money.

Came out and gave a timely and reasonable estimate to shape and deadwood two large trees on the property and then was out with his crew within the week. Obviously knowledgeable and passionate about the work, they had the job completed within a few hours and left everything looking amazing. I can’t recommend their work highly enough!

Hunter and his crew showed up fast to clear and clean up a huge branch that fell in our yard recently; while doing that they identified and took down a dead tree that almost certainly would have fallen into our house. They’re efficient, professional, reasonable with their rates, and I cannot recommend them enough!

He sent someone out to evaluate the job, then never sent me an estimate. Over the next five days I asked him to please tell me the cost, but he never responded. I wanted to use his company because his service was recommended to me, but I couldn't hire him.

Absolutely amazed with this company. Hunter came out the same day I called and evaluated my beautiful Silver Maple tree that I adore. It shades my deck perfectly in the afternoons and I was afraid it was a goner. After talking with him for a very short time it was obvious to me he knew what he was doing. He explained the condition of the tree and that he could save it. His price was very fair and we scheduled it. He showed up on time and did a marvelous job pruning and treating it. When he left I couldn't even tell he'd been here as his clean up of all the dead branches and such was impeccable. I highly this young man

Hunter and his crew were professional, efficient, and reasonably priced for the high quality work they did. This is the 3rd time we've had them come out over the last 5 years, and every time we've had a great experience working with them. Once was when we moved in to take down some dead trees on our property, next was to clear some room for a shed, and most recently for an emergency where a tree on our yard was in danger of falling into our neighbor's yard following a severe storm. In the most recent case, the crew was at our house taking the tree down within 3 hours of us calling them. They were also able to provide sound advice on which trees and branches would be best to remove to make more light for our garden. Multiple neighbors on our street now also use Hunter Tree Care. I value their honesty and straightforward advice. We will absolutely call them if we need any more work done in the future.
