A great kitchen begins with an efficient layout — and at CKS Projects, every kitchen we design starts with how you actually live.
When movement feels natural and every element is placed with purpose, the space becomes effortless to use — whether for quiet weekday mornings, daily meal preparation, or entertaining guests on the weekend. Good kitchen design isn't only about appearance. It's about how seamlessly the space works around your household's routines, habits, and lifestyle needs.
As a Wollongong-based custom home builder, we integrate kitchen design into the broader build process from the earliest stages of planning. This means spatial decisions — bench layouts, cabinetry configurations, appliance placement, and traffic flow — are made in context with the rest of the home, not as an afterthought.
Key kitchen design considerations for your custom home:
Functional layouts that support natural cooking workflow
Smart zoning across cooking, cleaning, and entertaining areas
Optimised movement between key kitchen zones
Integration with open-plan living and indoor-outdoor spaces
Design tailored to your daily routines and long-term lifestyle needs
Whether you're planning a new custom home, a knockdown rebuild, or a duplex development across Wollongong, the Illawarra, or the Shoalhaven, a well-considered kitchen layout adds both liveability and lasting value to your property.
