A home designed around how you actually live, not just how it looks.
At CKS Projects, we're a custom home builder based in Wollongong, and we believe good design starts with lifestyle, not floor plan templates. Every family uses a home differently. Some need a kitchen built for entertaining, others need a quiet study away from the noise, and some prioritise a low-maintenance garden over a large lawn. A custom home should reflect those priorities, not force a family to adapt to someone else's idea of how a house should work.
That starts with real conversations early in the design process. Do you cook every night or order in most weekends? Do you work from home and need a dedicated office? Are you raising young kids, planning for ageing parents, or thinking about how the home will suit you in twenty years, not just now? These answers shape everything from room adjacencies and storage to how much of the home opens onto outdoor living areas.
As a custom home builder, we translate these lifestyle priorities into practical design decisions, working alongside architects and designers to get the floor plan, orientation, and finishes right for the people actually living there, not just the next buyer.
Across Wollongong and the Illawarra, this approach applies just as much to new builds as it does to knockdown rebuilds, renovations, and duplex projects.
