I purchased a spotlight from Horizon as a replacement for an existing one (also from Horizon) that was spoiled. I specifically checked with the store to ensure I was buying the exact same model, including the light color. I chose white light from the three options available (white, yellow white, yellow).
However, when the light arrived and was installed by my electrician, it was clearly yellow white, not the white I had selected. The contrast with the existing lights was very obvious and looked completely off.
I contacted the salesperson and even made a trip down to the store. Despite the visible difference, the salesperson insisted it was “white light” just because the label said so. After weeks of waiting, I was told the supplier claims it is white light—but admitted that every batch has variations, meaning there’s no consistency in quality.
In short, this means buyers bear the risk of mismatched lighting even when selecting the same model. Very disappointing experience, both in terms of product consistency and how the issue was handled.
