My car wouldn’t start and kept making a clicking sound every time I turned the key. After attempting to jump it myself, I reached out to State Farm for roadside assistance, and they contacted Hook and Go. Upon arrival, the tow truck operator said the problem sounded like it might be my starter, which is what I’d assumed, but he wanted to check the battery just in case. After a few tries, he was able to get the car to start while hooked up to his machine, but it was clear it wasn’t able to hold a charge and would need to be replaced. He let me know he could have someone bring a new battery to my apartment and install it on site, which would all fall into the “roadside assistance” category of my insurance, meaning I would only have to pay for the cost of the battery itself. The other person arrived quickly and did a great job getting the new battery installed quickly and professionally. I really appreciated their effort to save me the trouble of having my car towed to a shop and paying for labor that wouldn’t be covered by my insurance once my car was moved. If I ever need help in the future, this is a company I would seek out again.
