🔥 When you first turn on your furnace for the season, you might notice a burning smell. Most of the time, that's just dust that has settled on the heat exchanger over the Summer months. It usually clears out within a few hours.
BUT, if the smell continues or smells metallic, smoky, or chemical: Turn off the furnace! Don't ignore it! It could be a sign your system needs servicing.
