What’s the Difference Between Mice and Rats?
Mice usually stay close to kitchens, pantries and wall cavities, while rats roam further, often nesting in roof voids or burrows. Their droppings and gnaw marks differ too, with mice leaving smaller signs and rats leaving larger, more destructive ones. Mice mainly contaminate food, whereas rats cause bigger structural damage due to their size and stronger teeth.
