From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with, responsive, and clearly passionate about the care and well-being of their puppies. Everyone we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely wonderful. We were looking for a mini Bernedoodle. What set our experience apart was the option to select a puppy that had already started in-home training with Sarah. As complete novices (and a bit anxious about what bringing home a puppy would entail), we decided to invest a little extra in the four-week in-home training program—and we are so incredibly glad we did! Thanks to Sarah, our puppy came home well socialized, crate trained (she has been sleeping through the night since day one), well on her way with potty training (now rings the bell hanging from the door to let us know), and had already learned some basic commands. Since bringing Darla home, we've been bringing her to puppy playtime sessions. Staff have commented on how well socialized she is and that she is a “positive role model” of how puppies should interact and play. We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Hess Family Puppies and especially with Sarah's in-home training. It has made a tremendous difference in Darla's smooth transition, her early development, and her overall behavior. We've had our beautiful girl for 3 months now. A month earlier, I had been researching other agencies until I found one, but it was very far away (we would have to travel).We talked every day for a month until we finally made the decision. We already knew which puppy to choose. We started the process of asking questions. They answered the initial questions and said they would provide the costs, but they never responded. The next day, the puppy went from being available to being sold just like that. (literally, I was crying) Three days later without faith, I decided to search on Google and Hess came up, only 1 hour from my house. Truly, it was the best thing that could have happened to us. God knows what He does. They keep the puppies up to date with all their needs, and they are very flexible. I needed an extra week before I could take her home, and they granted it to me. She is loving, playful, very curious, learns quickly, and has an excellent temperament. She is the spoiled one of the house and we love her so much. 🥰

We are locals here in Russell MA and found Hess Family Puppies through Reddit. It has been an amazing experience and our puppy PoPok (Po-Poke) is wonderful. We’re about 6 months in and he (with a lot of training) is very well mannered. The folks at Hess were really kind and never pressured us into any decisions. They let me spend hours with the litter and answered all my questions. The puppies are pricey but it’s standard for these types of breeds, I definitely recommend investing in your new family member with Hess. I am immensely happy with PoPok and he has helped me so much in dealing with the loss of my previous dogs. I 100% suggest checking out Hess, fantastic experience.

We had lost our 15 yr old cockapoo back in March and decided to look for a new baby to be best friends with our 2 year old. Everyome at Hess made it such a wonderful experience, matching us with a beautiful mini bernedoodle! He was 6 lbs when we got him at 8 weeks, now 5 months and 25 lbs! Update he is 9 months and his curls have fully come in!

I got a mini bernadoodle (30 lbs) from Hess family puppies about 14 months ago. I cannot recommend them enough. They were knowledgable and made the process easy. More importantly, I have a great dog, Bailey. She is healthy, well socialized and trained up well. Great enthusiastic personality and after a year, she still stayed cute. Hess Family really knew what they were doing as a breeder as otherwise the dog could not have been this good. Consider them for your next dog.

We had a fantastic experience with this breeder. They were incredibly responsive and supportive for us as we found our Samoyed puppy Nova! We have had her for almost a week now and she is just the cutest, well behaved pup. I would 100% recommend this family to anyone looking for a reputable MA breeder

We just finished our first weekend with our new pup, Amiga, and we couldn’t be happier! She has the best temperament — calm, friendly, and adjusting so well. It’s clear the Hess family kept her well socialized and raised her with so much love and care. Ron was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. We also really appreciate knowing that even though Amiga is now home with us, Ron and the Hess family are only a call or text away if we ever need anything. A year ago, my family and I lost our beloved dog Gizmo. We had a really hard time (especially my son) and were in need of a dog to love. We researched different Breeders for months. One of the best decisions we ever made was to choose Hess Family Breeders. Ron and his family run a professional and ethical business. They are not pushy and are extremely welcoming. Over this past year they must have answered over 100 of my questions with care and patience. We adopted our pup, Bear, in January and can't imainge our lives without him. He has brought so much love back into our home and my son is consistently smiling again. Bear has been a breeze to train (potty accidents have been rare), is so well mannered and loves all people and dogs. We recommend sticking to the kibble and raw diet that The Hess Family feeds their pups, Bear absolutely loves his food which makes life so much easier. Thank you Ron and family for helping us bring back the joy into our home. We know we will be back for another pup in the future!

I went there looking for a doodle. The process was incredibly smooth. The breeders were awesome to work with. Now for Lil Boo!! What a great dog, very healthy, very smart. Everything you’d ever want in a doodle. She 7 months old and we love her very much!!
