Factory Acceptance Tests: A Customers Perspective
Travel restrictions implemented as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have prevented existing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s) being held on site, resulting in a new virtual process at HERMA.
This process has now been further developed by our Projects team with the introduction of a new three way display where a variety of cameras angles provides the customer with simultaneous views of their FAT.
An overview of the system is displayed, alongside the operator feeding products onto the conveyor. A close up view of the HMI screen displaying information such as amount of products labelled and speed of application, allows the customer to monitor the machines performance.
This information can be recorded and sent to contacts to review at their own convenience saving time and costly travel expenses.
