I’m extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with HEG.
I initially requested and agreed to a quote for a basic switchboard upgrade from Ben, which was completed and invoiced at around $1,175. Months later, I received a second invoice for nearly double the original amount, without any formal quote of additional charges.
Despite specifically asking Ben to email me a quote multiple times over the phone and being promised this would be done, no quote was ever provided. HEG proceeded with extra work and simply billed me after the fact, claiming verbal approval over the phone, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable with this significant cost increase.
This lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to follow through on agreed upon processes is deeply concerning. Customers should be able to trust that any extra work will be quoted and authorised in writing, not added without consent.
I would caution others to get everything in writing and double-check every step with this company.
After emails to HEG requesting an explanation they have blatantly ignored me and just proceeded to send invoices.
