Nothing better than sitting in front of the fire, hot meal, hot coffee and fluffy slippers when it comes to this time of year BUT it feels so much better when I’ve been outside in all sorts of good old Scottish weather training other people, getting cold and wet before driving home to this. When I finally plonk my backside down in the warmth, pure bliss and all for an excellent cause. So before you decide it’s too cold and wet to train outside or Christmas is coming so you’ll pick it back up next year, pause, think and remember. Taking a break now means you will go backwards, your strength and fitness will drop off, your PT will work to fill your slots so there are no guarantees you can “pick it up next year” and why would you let all your hard work go to waste? Keep it up, keep pushing forward, start the new year in a far better place and enjoy guilt free food and drink over Christmas. I’m still taking on clients and still getting results.
