REGINA: Taking care of your nervous system is very important in these pandemic times. Here are some ideas that can help you to reinvigorate yourself:
❤ Maintain a discipline of physical exercises, such as walking, running, doing yoga - whatever feels good to you.
❤ Find at least 10 minutes a day to sit, close your eyes and simply listen to your breath.
Read or watch TV shows that you like and inspire you.
❤ Walking and taking in the sunlight - when the pineal gland is stimulated by light, this influences the production of the hormone serotonin, which brings relaxation and well-being.
❤ Contact the people that you like and who inspire you to share your experiences of this isolation period (technology is a great help: use video whatsapp, Skype, zoom etc.).
❤ Create a healthy sleep routine, for example by incorporating sleep-inducing herbs like valerian, chamomile, lemongrass.
❤ Remember: when you feel agitated, stop and simply watch your breath and feel your feet well positioned on the ground.
❤ Be gentle with you and others.
I hope these tips can help you to get through this moment of stress with serenity. For more tips and information on me and how I can help you, visit my page on Facebook: Back to your body with Regina and follow me on instagram: @reginadhyan (online yoga and meditation classes).
