Hauser’s Pharmacy hits vaccination milestone, 1,000 doses in one week in fight to end global pandemic
Dunnville, On - Making history in his office at Hauser’s Pharmacy, in Dunnville, Owner and Pharmacist Phil Hauser drew the pharmacy’s 1,000th dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. “Today is an exciting day for us,” said Hauser, moments after a syringe was filled and as recipient Mike Lessard of Dunnville, Ontario rolled up his sleeve to accept the milestone shot.
Hauser’s Pharmacy received its first shipment of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine early April marking yet another milestone in the history of the pharmacy as being first among the few community pharmacies permitted to assist the provincial government in its efforts to vaccine the population. Soon after the first shipment arrived Hauser’s began their first roll out of vaccine to eligible registered patients at Hauser’s Pharmacy, Dunnville, a seamless effort that averaged over 100 doses a day.
