The Truth About Growing a Real Estate Business
People often ask me how I went from doing zero transactions my first year to closing 30+ year over year. And the truth? It wasn’t overnight, it wasn’t magic, and it definitely wasn’t easy.
My first year, I didn’t close a single deal. Not one. I remember looking at my husband and saying, “I don’t think I can do this. We made a mistake.” But he reminded me that building a business takes time, and he was right.
Year 1: 0
Year 2: 13
Year 3: 27
Year 4: 48
Year 5: 30…
Growth isn’t linear, but it is real when you stay consistent.
Here’s the part I’m most proud of: almost all of my business has come from relationships - not ads, not gimmicks. Friends, family, past clients, community events, and even my gym (I closed TEN deals from my gym one year!)
Real estate isn’t about being an overnight success. It’s about planting seeds, serving people well, and earning trust one relationship at a time.
If you’re growing a business especially in real estate please hear this: Slow seasons don’t mean you’re failing. It means your foundation is forming.
