Slowing Down to Speed Up: What 2024 Taught Me About Business & Balance
I recently heard a simple fact that hit me hard:
Driving 70 mph instead of 80 only saves about 10 minutes over 100 miles.
And it made me think, how often do we push ourselves harder and faster in business for gains that barely move the needle, while sacrificing things that actually matter?
In 2024, I ran my real estate business with a baby beside me through nearly every showing, contract, and conversation. And yes, I lost a few opportunities because of it.
But you know what else happened?
So many people showed up with support. They chose to work with me because they respected the season I was in and trusted the level of service I still delivered. That meant everything.
As we head into the next quarter, it’s worth asking ourselves:
What are we sacrificing to go a little faster?
Are those sacrifices worth the cost?
Are we building a business or burning ourselves out?
Real estate moves quickly, but that doesn’t mean we have to run ourselves into the ground. Sustainable success comes from intention, not constant acceleration.
