Such a chill and dreamy spot! The staffs were super friendly, and the vibe was just amazing. Great value for the sea and sunrise view you get. Would totally come back for more sunrise and sandy toes!

We recently spent a few days at Harera Resort, Perhentian, and it was such a memorable experience! It’s not a fancy or luxurious place, but it has a warm, nostalgic charm that made us feel right at home. Our villa was simple—made of wood, equipped with fans and a decent bathroom (watchout of water pressure. Slightly low pressure, alternatively you can choose to shower at public bathroom at lower deck which is very clean and good water pressure). It really gave off that cosy kampung house vibe. Perfect for those who enjoy a more down-to-earth, laid-back stay. What truly stood out was the hospitality. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely couple who run the place. They were incredibly sweet and even let us check in early, which was a huge plus. While waiting, we sipped on some freshly made lemonade—absolutely refreshing in the heat! To get to Harera, it’s about a 500-600 metre walk from the jetty. Just look out for the path heading towards Matahari Chalet, hike a little uphill, and you’ll find Harera nestled there. A quick tip: bring mosquito repellent and any personal necessities, as it’s a bit more nature-friendly. One of the highlights was having a BBQ right outside our villa. We brought our own grill and used the surrounding rocks as a stand—it worked perfectly! The owner even offered us his Bluetooth speaker, which really added to the vibe. All in all, it was a beautiful, heartfelt stay filled with sweet memories. Thank you, Harera, for making it so special!

Great view from this chalet. Can watch sunrise! The room is cozy & price is reasonable. Plus they provide free wifi & water refill station which is very much needed. I recommend to stay here!

The staff are very kind and welcoming. The view is beautiful, and the setting is perfect for relaxing. Just a 2-minute walk from Long Beach.

We booked the villa for 13 of us for 4 nights. We are happy with our stay and would recommend. One villa has 2 separated bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The bathroom is very modern and clean, although like the rest of Long Beach, uses bidet and no toilet paper so bring your own if you prefer using that. The bedrooms have two windows, a mirror, a desk, multiple plug points and very comfortable beds all equipped with mosquito nets. We slept very comfortably. They provided a towel per person which was a nice add on. The villa also had a spacious balcony space with an amazing view of the sea. Enough tables and chairs and hammocks. Very cozy. there also was enough space to hang your clothes to dry. To reach the villas you need to walk uphill, and you will be surrounded by trees. Very quiet area. The common lounge area is very cozy and you can fill up your water bottle there. The WiFi was also as good as it can get on the islands. We appreciate how accommodating the staff was. We were able to pay separately for our accommodation and they accommodated a late check out for us. Unfortunately it rained a lot on our last night and in 3 out of 4 rooms, the roofs leaked and some people could not sleep in their beds. That would be the only inconvenience. Thank you overall for a nice stay đź©·đź©·

We had an incredible time at Harrera Perhentian! The chalet offers stunning sea views and is perfect for budget travelers, especially backpackers looking for a chill, laid-back vibe. The atmosphere was full of good vibes, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Winston, the cat, is a standout—his charm really adds to the place. Definitely worth coming back for Winston, the cutest cat ever!

One of the best accommodations on the island if you don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Rooms are very basic and could do with a little work. It gets just cool enough to sleep at night with the fan. The common areas are very nice and the views are beautiful. They also have free water refill station which is nice.

Perfect for a boys' trip or an adventurous couple. Hostel type of chalet. It was sufficient and you get what you pay. We experienced some difficulties with the rooms which we lost the power quite some time however they managed to solve it quite hastily. Luckily the people at the service desk were nice and we get to talk and ask for recommendations there. Everything was nice until we were bitten by a little bed bugs on our last day. Overall stay 6.5/10 oh the location from the jetty also is a bit far

Just a nice room and a clean toilet. A small hill walk to the place. A very nice view when it full moon. Very quiet place because it on the hill. Overall very good place to stay. I just stay for 1 night because got work at Besut and i just thought, why not take a night in the island and i find this cheap place to stay. Small tip, set the net before night, and you’ll sleep without a bite.
