Happybanjodude (Max) is a fantastic banjo instructor. He has helped me grow so much in my banjo journey. Just the right mix of contemporary music and classic bluegrass tunes. I would easily recommend him to anyone looking to improve their banjo playing and overall musicianship.

I have taken lessons from Max and have been a member of HBD subscription group for over 10 years. Max is a great teacher, has a tremendous ear, wonderful banjo player and teacher and works hard to help me learn whatever song the band I play in wants to cover. Because of Max I have learned dozens of songs that can play with other musicians. Under Max’s guidance I have become a much better banjo player. I give him and HBD my highest endorsement.

Two years ago I was simply the owner of a banjo. All I knew about it was that I wanted to play it. I felt very much like I had bought a lovely car, but didn’t have my license. I was daunted to say the least. Then, one day, I stumbled - well scrolled upon to be more accurate - HBD’s YouTube channel. I noticed he offered online lessons (I am in the UK) and I thought, ‘Heck, let’s give it a go.’ All these months later I am still the owner of a banjo, only I can now drive it superbly. I feel confident enough to call myself a banjo player and that’s all down to 30 mins a week with HBD. Thanks Dude!
