It's indeed a very unique taste of banh mi, and isn't quite like traditional Vietnamese style. The egg coffee was good. I went on a Sunday for my 2nd banh mi in Ha Noi. It was a bit pity that it didn't have the most popular crispy pork belly flavor. So I ordered crispy chicken, and it was actually fried chicken. Not bad!

We came to this place because of the many positive reviews that mentioned the delicious banh mi sandwiches. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the same. Date of visit: 2026 02 01 Group: 6 people While I respect the chef for working alone and preparing both drinks and meals all by himself, there were simply too many upsetting points. Here's a rundown of our experience: -> Despite the place being tiny, the hygiene wasn't the best. We noticed bugs walking on the floor in the cafe, and there was also a very clear rat hole right at the entrance. -> Drinks were okay, but the coffees were mediocre at best. I wouldn't say anything, but since we ordered famous Vietnamese coffees, we were quite disappointed as those weren't close to the known salt coffee or coconut coffee. The only reason I'm listing this is that Ha Noi is full of coffee shops that retain a high standard. -> The sandwiches were okay, some tasted better than others, so I won't discuss taste as this factor is extremely subjective. What I do want to point out is that 4 from our group ended up with diarrhea, some of whom are still suffering a week later. We know it's from this place because all of us experienced the same thing nearly half an hour after eating. I'm really sorry to leave this review, but I've spent a total of over 2 months in Vietnam, visited 7 cities, and never had a similar experience. Perhaps our experience fell on a bad day for the chef and the cafe, but preparing food for a living has to be prepared well, no matter the day.
