Hands of Light Massage and Day Spa Siesta Key

I had a fantastic deep tissue massage at Hands of Light in Siesta Key with Joy as my massage therapist. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and Joy took the time to understand where I was feeling tightness and stress. The massage itself was exactly what I needed — deep, thorough, and focused on releasing long-held tension without feeling rushed. Joy clearly knows her craft and worked out areas in my back and shoulders that had been bothering me for weeks. I left feeling lighter, more relaxed, and moving better than I have in a long time. If you’re in Siesta Key and looking for a truly therapeutic massage, I highly recommend booking with Joy at Hands of Light. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

This was one of the best deep tissue massages of my life! Kristen was amazing. She was so friendly and sweet. She did a brief consult to start to make sure she knew exactly what I was hoping to get out of the massage. She kept checking in with me throughout to make sure I was ok and everything was as expected. The experience was worth every penny, and I will be back!

My husband and I have routinely scheduled massages at Hands of Light when visiting Siesta Key. It has truly been a gem and we have often recommended them to friends who live in Sarasota and friends that winter. We will no longer be providing that recommendation. In planning for our visit, I contacted Hands of Light on 1/5 and left a voicemail. When I did not receive a return call I again called them on 1/8 and left another voicemail. After still not receiving a return call, I emailed them on 1/12 and got a response the next day providing options for scheduling the massages. I replied back within a couple of hours and told them we would take the times on 1/13 offered for the massages. I then followed up with another email the morning of the 13th to re-confirm. We arrived for our massages and were told they did not have us down, she had not had a chance to reply to confirm and was sorry for the mixup, while others sat in the lobby for the appointment times she had offered us. Needless to say I was embarrased and disappointed. I have never had so much trouble scheduling a massage service and based on our experience, we will not schedule any additional services there or continue to recommend them to friends or family in the area. I

I just want to say that the 2 recent negative reviews were unfortunate and not nice or reflective of the true nature of the business. I don't like when people leave reviews like this that don't reflect what the business offers in product or service. How was the massage? The ambience? One reviewer went here for 5 years and loved it...they even suggested it to friends and then they have 1 bad booking experience and leave a 1 star review!!! They don't give them the benefit of the doubt and try to understand what might have happened?? Maybe the owner had a sick family member?? Maybe the owner that you loved so much over 5 years was so busy because of your referrals and others that she dropped the ball. You don't give them the benefit of the doubt and leave them a 1 star review??? Wow!! And the other bike guy who though he wasn't treated well....we all have our bad moments, but she apologized. And I see business's response to the review and they were apologetic and empathetic. And I know that's their true nature. If something like this happens to me I try to understand. I look at past reviews and say to myself this must be a blip....an anomaly. I am not going to hurt this small business owner with a bad review because of this one instance. It's hard being a small business owner...cut them some slack! I was one and at times 100 work week at times...kids sick...a death in the family, or other life stuff. I wasn't always my perfect self! I have many friends who have gone here and they say the massage, service and people were A+++. I

Easy and smooth online booking processes. Fabulous deep tissue massage from Joy, attending to requested area with obvious knowledge of anatomy. Will come back when in town. Don’t hesitate to treat yourself to this massage!

Had a 90min couples massage with a facial. We had the pleasure of being with Necal and Stephanie. This was the best decision we made. BEST massage! The place was clean, serene, and and had warm energy. So so grateful to Necal and Stephanie! After a long wedding weekend, this is exactly what our body and minds needed. They were so attentive, caring, and made our experience the best it could possibly be! Highly recommend, it’s worth it

Just had our massages this afternoon and we are ready to go back for another. Shauna and Amanda were great! Definitely check them out when visiting Siesta Key. Always a bonus, we were able to park right in front of the establishment. We booked ahead of time which made the process very easy.

Nicole does a fantastic job listening to what you need and where. I never miss booking an appointment when I visit Siesta Key! ❤️ She always goes above and beyond and is one of the best!

Hidden Gem! Fantastic, relaxing, and just what we needed my wife and I. Weare staying on the island and well our bed is not so relaxing. We decided to find a message. HANDS OF LIGHT is what we decided on on glad we did. I had Nadia and she had Julie I think. Mine was Amazing and she hers was as well. If u need to relax or a problem helped reach out. Rooms were clean and relaxing music was good and message was fantastic 5stars in our book.

I just finished a 14 mile bike ride and wanted to buy my wife a gift certificate for her birthday. Our family has had many a massage there. I missed the turn so walked 3-4 feet over weeds to get there. The owner came out and said do not walk over her "garden"! I said I wanted to buy gift certificate. She said do it on-line. Sorry to be a jerk. Scan the window. I know I wasn't dressed nicely and was fresh off a 90 degree bike ride but she totally pre judged me. I told her I will go elsewhere. Shame.
