The customer had an old and leaking stop valve which was difficult to operate and starting to cause water leakage around the pipe connection. Over time these valves can seize up or begin to leak, especially in older properties where the original fittings have been in place for many years.
We isolated the water supply, removed the faulty valve and installed a new high quality brass stop valve with fresh compression fittings to ensure a secure and reliable connection. The pipework was checked carefully and everything was tested before restoring the water supply.
The new valve now operates smoothly and the leak has been fully resolved.
