I was looking for a quick smog check service close by in Novato DMV to take care of my smog check for my registration. I found this place and the staff were very friendly and did the smog very quick. I’m glad I found them. They were reasonably priced and very professional.

Walked in on a cold November day. Fire insert burning. Comfortable chairs. Phone chargers available. Friendly service. Highly recommend. 👍

Probably the best SMOG experience I've ever had (Even though my car failed the first time). I stopped by the first time and surprisingly they weren't busy. I talked to the owner, Carlos and had a good feeling about it so I asked him to proceed with a SMOG check. I wanted to kinda feel it out because 1, some SMOG technicians are complete pricks (More on ths later). Not so with Carlos. 2, my car had a special consideration and just by having a 5 minute conversation you can tell he knew exactly what he was doing. So after testing the first time it did fail even showing no codes/DTC's :-( However after talking through it he educated me about the quirks of my type of motor. I took his feedback and went through the processes he outlined. I came back a few weeks later and man, was it busy. I asked if I could come back later and he directed me to give him a call an hour before close. I did so, came back, threw it on the computer and it passed! One of the other great points about Hamilton's and Carlos is that the price is pretty fair. It's an honest business and Carlos is a straight shooter. To qualify my earlier statement, I've owned performance cars my whole life. Many techs will automatically fail you on the smallest little thing. In my case I have an EO/CARB approved performance kit on my car with documentation displayed. Carlos popped the hood, I described the kit and he went about doing his business. He was very professional and did his due diligence. Upon failing the first time we had a lengthy conversation as described above. Just due to the time and effort he put into the overall interaction I will definitely bring all my business here.

Omg! Service was so fast! I drove up without an appointment and they took my car right away. Victor was so helpful! I will be using Hamilton’s Star Smog Check the next time I need to have my vehicle smogged.
