Here is my experience. The site was not working and was instructed to call in which I did. Was told there was a $300 pet fee and while surprised (price was not ON the listing) said I would call back after discussing it with family. Went online later to check on the place to see if this is what we wanted and booked it. Price was ~2600 with insurance. She told me on the PHONE it would be 2900 plus, so we booked it ONLINE.
When getting the online receipt however, noticed I was NOT charged what I authorized online but for the $300 pet fee included! So went back online and noticed when I put in we had dogs, the online price did not change at all! My fault? NO. Did I think we got a good deal? YES. People on phones make errors too so I figured they were unaware of the online price. Boy was I wrong!
Now when doing some checking on another property, it DID add a pet fee to the price. I alerted this company as to the situation and they did say it was an IT error but no refund ( did not ask for one) or ANY compensation would be granted ( an offer would have been appropriate in this case) because on the phone she DID tell me about the fee. But the SITE said differently. I have issues only with the fact that they charged the extra on my card WITHOUT a notification to me saying hey there's an error here, so the price is $2900, do you still wish to have us charge your card? Nope, they just did it anyway. Pet fee was not the issue. We come down here 3 times a year and pay fees every time without hesitation. It was just oops yeah the listing is an error. We could try to dispute b/c it was not the price I thought I had, but we DID want to stay at the condo. So we wont do that but will think twice about things in the future, 100%.
So, heads up on your online vs. actual charges.
