I wanted to share a little something new that we attempted today, rebuilding a chimney on a brand new metal roof. First we installed memory foam around the entire chimney , followed by using a custom bracket system that applies its pressure to the other side of the roof.
From the brackets we send planking down the foam side of the roof dispersing the weight a long a 16 foot 2 x 10.
Then we attach from the scaffolding to those planks.
This entire job is done without one single nail penetrating the roof.
