“An inspection was performed on two fireplace systems at the Cedar Trails Condominiums, located at 4436 Cedar Lake Rd S, Minneapolis, MN 55416, to investigate a smoke transfer issue affecting the upper condo unit. When the lower condo unit used their fireplace, smoke would enter the upper unit’s chimney due to a pressure problem in the building.
We recommend installing a top-mount damper to address the downdraft issue at its source.”
