Growing Smiles

We had a wonderful experience with Growing Smiles! My daughter had both lip and tongue tie surgery here, and everything went smoothly. The staff made us feel at ease from the very beginning, and the results have been amazing. My daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist! Highly recommend to any parent looking for a caring, skilled, and kid-friendly dental team.

I had a very bad experience here with both of my kids. With one they recommended sedation. Even with the sedation, I could hear my son crying and screaming from the waiting room. The dentist was impatient with my son getting him back to the room. We ended up going to Cascade dental because they offered non-pharmacological options for treatment. They were able to treat both my kids without even having to give them any gas. As a pediatric clinic, it's pretty sad that they couldn't accomplish what a regular dentist could with just a little patience.

We have been going to Growing Smiles for 7 years. I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience. The staff is so friendly and always make sure to educate me on my children’s teeth with each visit. The office staff is very good about informing me of potential costs associated with various treatments before they do them so I can make the best decision for our family. My kids ask me routinely when they get to go back to their dentist because they like it so much!

What can I say about Growing Smiles? Nothing but positive experiences from our family for the last 10 years! To start let’s all about how pediatric dentistry has changed, where were the TVs when I was a kid, and the play gym? The atmosphere is so welcoming for littles the moment they step in the doors. Each staff member takes gentle care and time with the kiddos, and explains every process, which for a child with anxiety is huge. They never scold a child for brushing poorly, but use it as a teaching moment. When my daughter had to have procedures done, their calm and patient staff made what would be a scary situation, no big deal. As a parent, I appreciate the open and honest communication regarding care and procedures, both proactive and reactive. Each hygienist we have worked with, as well as the doctors themselves, have been very through explaining what to expect with my child’s teeth, or preventive measures. I have never felt like I was being sold anything. The front desk has been always been so accommodating of our schedules change from illness, weather, or just life. What is most impressive to me is that Growing Smiles takes time to give back to the community and support local organizations, as well as employing many local people. It is so very comforting knowing a familiar face when we go for care! We are always recommending Growing Smiles to our family and friends, we wouldn’t take our girl anywhere else!

Let them go back by themselves. My 4 year old is a very shy, sweet little girl. Often when I accompany her to dentist appointments she does not want to cooperate and gets anxious. Today she needed to get a tooth looked at that was hurting her. Kim and Tanya whisked her out of the waiting room and to the back where they took xrays and thoroughly checked her teeth. I was left in the waiting room to read my book. AMAZING! They brought her back to me smiling and said she did perfect. I so appreciate growing smiles for all the great work they do.

Our son had a frenotomy at Growing Smiles last month. We had a wonderful experience with both the dental team and anesthesia team. Everyone was caring and very communicative about the surgery; making sure we were comfortable with each step. Dr. Henderson and her team did an amazing job. Our son showed improvements in speech, sleeping, and also eating, after just a few days. We’re so thankful for their work. Our son is happier and healthier as a result. A big thank you to all involved in the process. We’re forever grateful.

My child had 4 fillings done at Growing Smiles and was referred there by our regular dentist. Since then, every single filling had fallen out and needed to be replaced. Thankfully most of them occurred under warranty and Growing Smiles did replace them. She just lost one of the repairs and at this point I will not be going back. Also she's typically does OK with all types of physicians but is very afraid of the dentists here. I don't like that parents have to stay in the waiting room.

I have been taking my four kiddos to Growing Smiles for several years. The 30 minute drive down the turnpike is more than worth it. My children have had great experiences and have no fear of going to the dentist. The facility is super cute and super clean, my kids love the play area and tablets. I love that they can accommodate all of my kids at the same time and we are in and out quickly. Best dentist and staff around!

My son had been doing “happy visits” for the past 2 years with our family dentist, but his anxiety kept them from being productive exams. We decided to try Growing Smiles and it made all the difference. He finally got through a cleaning and x-rays, and had to have 2 crowns placed with conscious sedation. They walked us through step-by-step what would happen, and made this a much better experience for our son than we ever could have imagined. Dr.Henderson, Kim, Tanya, and the entire staff were so helpful and caring. This was a great choice for our son and we feel he was in great hands!

I’ve been going to growing smiles since they opened and our regular dentist referred us there for my first child who is now in her 20’s. I currently take my 14 year old there for all his dental needs. They have amazing staff! We love seeing Kim and Judith when we visit!
